About me
I was born in 1967 in Portsmouth on the south coast of the United Kingdom, and grew up on the Isle of Wight. In 1983 I left school to train as a chef, before leaving the Island in 1988 to work for a large hotel group on the South coast, settling in the New forest in 1990.
In 1996 I resigned to work for the NHS still as a chef, and from there I moved to Central Scotland in 2001 to live, and now had all the Highlands as my back garden, perfect for landscape photography. |
Big Country and the Scottish connection
I saw Big Country supporting a well known 80's mod band in at Wembley arena 1982, and rushed out to buy their first album "The Crossing" I knew nothing about them at all, but soon learned of their much talked about Scottish roots, passionately expressed by the late Stuart
Adamson. I travelled to Scotland to see them play a Hogmanay concert in 1983/1984 at the Glasgow Barrolands ballroom "The Glasgow Barras" and this was inspired by Stuart Adamson's love of his Scottish roots. At this point I realised that Scotland offered some of the United
Kingdoms most breathtaking landscape scenery. I promised myself that I would live in Scotland someday. |
My Photography
My photography mainly consists of landscapes and historical buildings of locations that I have visited. I also like to photograph wildlife, I also shoot a little macro photography and this can have some interesting results.
Included on this site are some photographs taken by friends, and these are clearly marked with a link to them where applicable.
More recently I have worked in photographic studios and on location, producing fashion, glamour and portraiture with various photographic models. |
